# torial

> torial.com is a free, curated directory of verified freelance journalists in the German-speaking world (DACH), run by Steady. "Verified" means every profile passed human editorial review at registration (approval-gated onboarding) – torial profiles represent real, human journalists and their published work.

Journalists are listed for free. Machine-readable access is read-only, rate-limited per IP, and covers only data that is already publicly visible on torial.com profile pages. Profiles can opt out of machine-readable distribution; opted-out profiles are excluded from the API, the MCP results, and directory JSON-LD, and their profile pages carry only minimal structured data. Their human-facing pages and Atom feeds remain online.
